How to change or withdraw a trip request, and what will apply once booking exists.

Trip requests today

A trip request records the plan you chose and the price we calculated. Nothing is charged and nothing is reserved.

You can withdraw a trip request at any time from My requests. There is no fee, because no payment has been taken and no supplier has been committed.

You can change a request by withdrawing it and sending a new one from an updated plan.

When booking becomes available

Cancellation and change rights will then depend on the supplier's own conditions for each part of the trip, and those conditions will be shown before you pay — not after. Airline tickets, rail fares, ferry crossings and accommodation rates carry different rules, and a single trip can combine refundable and non-refundable parts.

Where you buy a combination that constitutes a package under applicable package travel law, you will receive the statutory information and protections for packages, including insolvency protection and the right to transfer the booking, before you commit.

Statutory cancellation rights for distance contracts generally do not apply to transport and accommodation booked for a specified date. Where a statutory right does apply, it will be stated at the point of sale.

If something runs late

Waypoint Travel can show you how a delay travels through your trip and which connections would be at risk. Live carrier status is not connected yet, so this is a what-if calculation and not a monitoring service — we will not imply we are watching your journey when we are not.

Compensation for delay, denied boarding or cancellation is owed by the carrier under the rules that apply to your journey, such as EU Regulation 261/2004 for eligible flights or the equivalent rail passenger rights. Waypoint Travel can explain those rules; it cannot pay them.

Anywhere this document says “[to be supplied by the operator]”, the detail depends on the registered company, its address and its jurisdiction, and must be filled in by the owner before publication. We will not invent a company identity or a regulator registration.
